| Children’s Parties at AWBD We’ve been pleasantly surprised at the interest in our children’s parties! It’s a wonderful way for your child to celebrate with friends and family. Wonder how it works? AWBD can accommodate children’s parties of up to 12 (we can accomidate up to 20 but be aware that the party will prob take an additional half hour for larger numbers). We can provide personalized invitations individual to each child (that has a map and store contact info if parents are not familiar with the store) at no additional charge. You are welcome to bring your cake, ice cream & snacks to enjoy just as you would at home! We reserve two hours for the party – I prefer to have parties 6:30 pm -8:30 pm Fridays, Saturdays and select Wednesdays (other evenings are possible but availability is dependant upon class schedules and prior commitments). The evenings after hours are best because it gives the kids the freedom to be kids! They can be as loud as they want, play their music and not worry about ‘disturbing’ other customers. Our first half hour is dedicated to “Bead School" where I teach the kids cool facts about beads from around the world and throughout history – it gives them a greater understanding and appreciation of what they are working with in a fun format. The next hour is reserved for choosing their beads and constructing their creations. I help guide the kids through an age and budget appropriate project that they will be able to complete within the time frame to take home. Our last half hour is reserved for the parents to 'take over' to serve their refreshments and for the child to open her gifts. Cost Schedule: Parties of 5 or fewer children: $50.00 minimum for the group (the $50 is divided up equally among the children) Parties of 6 or more children: $8.50 minimum per child The listed minimums are established as a guideline only. Parents may choose a higher budget to allow the children to use more sophisticated beads/materials (recommended especially for older children 12+). Children's Party Stipulations:

| Adult Parties at AWBD Adult parties are very similar in format as the children's parties. We have our own 'big kid' version of 'Bead School' and then all the guests are let free to choose the project of choice to suit their tastes and personal budget: Necklaces, Bracelets, Anklets, Earrings, Watches, etc. Advice and guidance in choosing beads to make complete projects is always available. We even put the clasps on your strung projects and finish off earrings if you need us to - or gladly show you how so you can attempt it on your own! Bead Bash hostesses receive great benefits just for gathering up their friends for a fun night out:
Hostesses are welome to bring some snacks and beverages. Adults are permitted to bring alcoholic beverages (but must monitor their guest consumtion). We have a CD player so you are welcome to bring music to listen to. |
